Elemental Groove Theory (From Athens Ohio)

Elemental Groove Theory began as many bands do; a humble start with friends who wanted nothing more but to play music together. Following their inception in Fall of 2008, their first performances consisted mostly of house parties and benefit concerts. After the release of their self-produced three track demo, The Basement Sessions, EGT revealed itself in full force as the eight piece powerhouse it is today. Their first performance as the complete group took place at the Athens Halloween Block Party in 2009. In under a year’s time EGT has gone on to record their first full studio album and has been performing at many venues throughout the Midwest area. EGT has also had the pleasure of performing at several music festivals, and on local television and radio. The members of EGT pride themselves on the collaborative creation of original music which bridges many styles and tastes. They look forward to continued travel across new borders, both physical and musical, and to the proliferation of music which is intricate, yet fun, fresh and infectious.

Fletcher’s Grove combines tight vocal harmonies, with a soulful-jamming-jazz-influ​enced guitar duo, backed up by a slapping bass, and a driving drum ensemble. Fletcher’s Grove is merging the classic sounds of the 60’s with rudiments of funk fusion, and a little jazz flute into a high energy sound that keeps groovin’. Giving the younger listener a beat to get down to while reminding the older ones of those classic sounds. The five-man-band is made up of Ryan Krofcheck (Vocals/Ryth. Guitar), Matt Marion (Vocals/Percussion), Wes Hager (Lead Guitar/Flute), Taylor Pratt (Bass), and Adam Greene (Drums). The band has shared the stage with such artist as Bobby Lee Rodgers, Dark Star Orchestra, RAQ, EOTO, Particle, Conspirator, Freekbass, The Bridge, Hot Tuna, and The Lee Boys and more! Their debut album “All the Way Home” encompasses the bands unique improvisational style and captures an organic sound that is reminiscent of their live shows. Each song shows a diversity of influences that make up an original sound that is Fletcher’s Grove. The band’s last tour ended at the West Virginia State Fair, Camp Barefoot 4, and selling out 123 Pleasant St.
