The Hackett

The Hackett was originally constructed in 1899, a three-story building at the present site of The Galley restaurant, next to The Adelphia Music Hall on one side, and the Tiber Way apartment/retail complex on the other.

Now, in 2012, the third story of this grand building will accommodate the reincarnation of The Hackett Hotel.  In the ultimate expression of adaptive re-use, this version of The Hackett comes in the form of a five-room boutique hotel. The beautifully decorated and appointed presidential/honeymoon suite has been named “The Riley Room” in honor of the edifice’s original visionary and builder.  The other four rooms’ namesakes are among Marietta’s most influential pioneers and town leaders.

The spacious rooms are luxuriously designed, replete with lovely private bathrooms and a delightful balance of antique furnishings and modern amenities, creating a classically chic ambiance. Equipped with special acoustic paneling and sound insulation, The Hackett’s living spaces offer a restful and private environment for guests to enjoy. The Hackett’s rooms feature high quality flat-screen televisions and wireless internet access.  High attention to detail is evident throughout The Hackett, whilst maintaining the integrity and “historic fabric” of the original building and incorporating the new, eco-friendly additions.

Tying these beautiful rooms together will be “The Confluence,” a welcoming common area where guests can have their morning coffee or tea and a snack from the plentifully-stocked and complimentary pantry.  Of course, lunch or an evening meal—via Galley Room Service—can be enjoyed in The Confluence, as well.

The Hackett Hotel will feature Valet Parking—a first in Historic Marietta!  Arriving Hotel guests need only drive into the designated space in The Galley parking lot, walk a few short steps inside to The Galley’s Hostess/Registration Stand, and request Valet Parking.  Guests’ vehicles will be parked by trained staff in the nearby St. Cloud Park lot—the former site of the St. Cloud Hotel.  Likewise, The Galley’s trained staff will assist Hotel guests with their luggage if requested.

The Hackett, The Galley and The Adelphia Music Hall offer a singularly unique guest experience in Historic Marietta.  Imagine hosting an entire wedding party, a corporate retreat or a holiday weekend with friends at 203/205 Second Street! The facility offers everything you need—great food and drink, fabulous live entertainment, private meeting/gathering rooms and luxurious lodging, all in a very comfortable and inviting setting full of old world charm.
